Susan Miller is credentialed by the International Dyslexia Association (IDA). She is an active and longtime board member of the New Jersey branch of IDA. Susan brings a wealth of knowledge to each child and their family. Susan was honored to serve as the first President of The Reading League NJ Chapter and now serves as its Past President. Her work as an Adjunct Professor at Felician University in their LDT-C program allows her to prepare the next generation of consultants!


She is passionate about the importance of each child understanding and leveraging their strengths to overcome their learning difficulties.

With over three decades of experience and specialized credentials in the field of learning disabilities, the evaluations and tutoring services offered by Susan Miller will change your child's trajectory in school and beyond! Certified as a New Jersey LDT-C and Dyslexia Therapist, Susan began her career at the Stephen Gaynor School in Manhattan, where she received her training in Orton-Gillingham programs, including Wilson Reading, Lindamood-Bell, and Preventing Academic Failure.


Susan had the privilege of working at The Newgrange School under the leadership of Dr. Gordon Sherman, a renowned neuroscientist, where she honed her diagnostic skills and understanding of language-based learning difficulties such as Dyslexia and Dyscalculia.

Susan's article, "Reading by Hand," published in Dystinct magazine in 2021, among many other articles and presentations she has authored on the topics of Dysgraphia, Dyslexia, and Dyscalculia, helped shape the name of this private practice. The field knows with certainty that accurate and early identification influence a student's trajectory not only in school, but in life.

Diagnostic Learning Evaluations

We understand the importance of identifying learning challenges early and accurately. Our expert diagnostic evaluations are designed to assess a wide range of learning differences, providing a clear understanding of each individual's unique needs.


Each client comes with their own profile and presenting concerns that requires a customized approach to assessment. The comprehensive report will provide detailed explanations of each test and an action plan for the client.


Dyslexia Therapy

Specializing in providing targeted Dyslexia Therapy that is grounded in the latest research and methodologies. Individualized therapy sessions are designed to improve identified areas that require remediation such as reading, writing, math, and comprehension skills. 


The first session will include informal baseline assessments to determine current levels, with progress monitoring occurring during the course of the intervention to document improvement.
